Hi Golden Bear: I just went to: http://www.scbabadminton.org/ and looked up places to play. Arcadia High is a good workout. Pros: +Free: just bring your equipment +Nice people, all willing to play. Honest too. +Plenty of parking +Decent pick-up games: from beginner to D+ level, maybe some Cs. +6 courts, not too crowded Cons: -Hard to see the shuttle: lighting is horrendous, takes time to adjust, dim and yellow with white walls. -Boundary lines are confusing and hard to see: just hit anything close and assume it's in. -Ceiling is not high enough -Surface does not grip well, a bit slippery Though the cons are significant, it's the same for everyone so it's a level playing field. I'll be going to Arcadia High regularly.
haha ceiling is fine for "normal" people...jk i think the ceiling is ok, just that dan always clears super HIGH!!!.....
