I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a new badminton website dedicated to the badminton players of Canada. It is the official site of the Badminton Canada Player's Association which is a non-profit organization, and will have a whole assortment of information about badminton players within Canada, and their international and local results, among other pieces of information. The address for this site is www.playbadminton.ca and will be updated frequently by the players themselves. Check it out everyone!!! www.playbadminton.ca
The key words here is New and Will ... My guess is that , since it is a fairly new site , it's still under construction ... can't wait to see it when it's finished though
Will is indeed the key word The site looked kinda familliar to me and also there are tournaments listed from march so ...
Yes, it is indeed a very new site and is not fully operational yet. Content for the various links is being developed as I speak by the Player's Association and should start being uploaded within the next couple of weeks. I just thought I would give everyone heads up on it. I spoke to Will Milroy personally and he informed me that they have high hopes for the site. Keep checking back over the next couple weeks.
Cool ,Emmett. I wasn't aware we even had a players association. You need to get a more accurate picture of Keith. He ain't that pretty...
The site is kinda like the current Badminton Canada site as well as the current Ontario Badminton site. Just shows Canadian Badminton tourney updates . Anything else they gonna add to it?
I knew they looked familiar ... Keith Chan - " The best way to improve your badminton game, not racket, nor your smash " ... the article written by kwun ?? Jody Patrick - "Change of mentality required: singles and doubles. The advice you could not play without! " ... hmmm , wasn't there a thread a while back ... Alice Man - " Whats your signature move? .... and Defense, a lot easier than offense? You decide " ... titles looks extremely familiar - Wats your signature move , Defence a lot easier than offense . suspiciously similar ? you bet !
I was just about to mention this-- it's like word for word a few of the articles and threads here at BC. I suppose if it was a link it'd be okay, but otherwise... it seems a bit iffy that the words are under others' names...
Yeah , but if they do try and copy the exact stuff without giving full credit to the people who actually wrote it , they'd be facing some copyright issues so I doubt they'd be doing that . hmmm ... I wonder how their "advice" would turn out ...
Don't worry, the site is going to be updated soon, and as time progresses it will be updated very regularly, not like the Badminton Canada site, which doesn't exactly do the best job at keeping things current. The content that is currently on the site is just filler until some good stuff gets put together. Keep checking back everyone
As a web designer, I recommend keeping test pages unpublished. Putting up a site with no content - or even worse, with stolen content - looks bad. A web site without real content is like a book without text. That aside, the site design looks quite nice (though the nav links on the left are hard to see against the background). Good luck with the site development
The misattributed "quotes" from Badminton Central. Now I'm sure no-one minds in this case, but it's hardly the most professional practice
Web designing ? Interesting ... just last year I wanted to be a web / graphic designer until I found out that you'll have to do everything from scratch . < totally off topic but ... >
