Being in japan it is certainly funny how the 'lifts' or clears end up at a perfect smash height right before the 1st baseline

I know in sports like volleyball and basketball extra heights give a significant advantage. What about badminton? How much of an advantage does height give and is there an ideal height to be in badminton?
I have a friend who is at least 6'3 in height and he has no problem with clears and especially smahes. It is his height that gives him an advantage and also makes his shots more accurate because he is able to see better as to where he wants to hit making him unstoppable.

hmmm, the only problem being tall is that the shuttle has less time to drop to reach you. your optimium overhead height is higher. i would guess that playing a flat game against such tall people would be easier than playing a flat game against a short person...

Why is everybody giving the advantages of being tall?
Us short guys have some advantages too ya' know!
It's easier for short guys to reply short serves with drives.
