In most badminton stores (at least in the Philippines), you have the option to buy a generic towelling grip and another towelling grip which is branded. Are there any advantages buying branded towelling grips? Is there a difference in quality? thanks guys in advanced :)

All goods have namable brands and generic brands, from soda to PC modules to auto parts. In general, the generic brands are usually cheaper. Whether the price vs quality ratio is a good deal or not, depend on ur own preference and affordability. ;)

Does it mean that generics are of lower quality like car parts?

Branded or generic, some materials are the same ( not all ). Price is higher for those branded ones is because we pay for the marketing and maybe their services.
Eg.. some cheaper ones doesnt offer warranty and the expensive ones does. This may not apply to towel grips. But still we pay for the name, quality may be different as well.

    Usually, that's the case. However, it's not 100%. ;)

That may be true, but u cant compare car parts to towel grips. El Cheapo Burrito car parts that fail while u are driving at 100kmh will cost you ur life while the worst that generic towel grips can do is give you itchy palms :p . In the case of towel grips, if you are not a lazy guy like me, going for the cheap ones so u can change as often as you want is an option :D
