Vancouver Drop-In's Aug 7-14
Sorry ViningWolff for stealing your thunder, but I will also be in Vancouver for a week from the 7th to 14th of August. I'll be looking for people to play against in drop-in sessions since I don't know very many people down there who play badminton. I guess I'm an intermediate player, but don't yell at me if I get beaten by a beginner

Any club will do, as long as the drop-in fees for non-members aren't ridiculously high. I also prefer to play with feather shuttles, but I don't mind the nylon either.
Thanks in advance =D

Hi Tweak
You can play drop-in at RichmondPRO Tue (8th) - Fri (11th) in the morning (9am-noon) or early afternoon (noon-3pm). Quality and quantity of players vary. Cost is $4.50. Fri night drop in 8-11pm, better players, $6.50. For directions, visit our website: richmondprobadminton.com or call 604-231-0999. Hope you can make it.

That sounds great mb! My cousins' house I'm staying at is located about a block away from a badminton club, they told me, but I'm not exactly sure which one they're talking about.
I'll definetly make sure to drop by RichmondPRO. What days and times usually attract the most players without making people wait around for courts?

Don't worry, you won't wait too long. We'll catch you when you get here.

I'm planning to hit Richmondpro tonight for the drop in.
Look for the only white dude who look more like he belongs on the rugby pitch than killing shuttles.

I just arrived in Vancouver a few hours ago, staying at my cousin's house in Burnaby. Not sure if I'll be able to play badminton daily cause Richmond is supposedly far away =p

Pending which part of Burnaby you're staying at, there's badminton at Bonsor Rec Centre (near Metrotown) on
Mon 9am - 12noon
Wed 9am - 12noon & 9pm -10:30pm
Fri 5pm-7pm (teens only)
Sun 9am-11am & 8pm-10pm
It's BYOB!
Pending if you're a high-intermediate, there's always Collingwood on Sun 10am-1pm. We play with feather shittles and we're always looking for some fresh meat! LOL

RichmondPro is very accessible by transit. Take the Skytrain to 22nd St. Station in New Westminster, then take the #410-Railway bus to Richmond. Get off at No. 3 Road and Landsdowne. RichmondPro will be half a block away from the bus stop.
Check this site for BC transit bus schedules. Enter the bus number: 410 and location: WEST.
