the serials are engraved just to let you guys know, the PBSI thingy is not a sticker. those sorta flashy holograms thingies on the shaft near the cone, they dont shine. funny thing is that it is a head heavy racquet and its pretty powerful too. i dont think the ns8k is suppose to have purple serial: 5692667 290455SP here are the pics
Yes from far away it looks like a real racquet but taking a closer look you will notice that the 4 grommets at the T-Joint is missing the round edges. I can't believe they went the extra step to get the serial and batch number engraved but left out this important detail.
la_fraga on eBay sells fakes. His nanospeed 8000 exactly looks like yours. I mean, the grip, the paint job and everything. EDITED: I forgot to mention the real-looking serial number.
ah, now i get it . Grommets should be just like my MP100? Two pairs together on each side from the shaft...
theasiandude88 and i are friends and the person that sold it to him was a friend of ours that got it through his mother's friend. i was surprised when he told me it was fake because the same friend gave one to someone else and it looked fine to me. the serial number was correct, the colors seemed right, and the buttcap looked real
the purplish part are also on the shaft and on the upper part of the head. i believe the head should also be greyish, not dark purple/black. on the end of the racquet with the green yonex thingy, i dont think there are suppose to be that rectangle engravings. just to let you guys know, the grip is actually kind of small. it does not have the new ns8k grip, where it is big and have those red dots on it.
Based on the pics posted, the dead giveaway was the "rectangle engraving" above the YY logo on the buttcap.
i think i had posted something like tht 0.5-1 years ago under serial number thread. It's just matter of time when serial # improve from printed to laser engraved to laser engraved AND proper batch sequencing. Actually NS racket is quite easy to copy as compared to armortec.
Scott, you should post a picture of the racket bag. That's some super duper uber composite matrix stuff they are using.
I agree. Still it is a very, very good fake. Another distinctive feature with original NS8000 is the grip, that has some red dots on it.
Same racket is on sell on ebay LOL Ahahahha, this is funny, The exact same racket is on sell on ebay (same serial) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=79787&item=7167296527&rd=1 by badmintonseller
Yes it is fake, and yes the fake manufacturer are getting better. Now, we cant always determine authenticity by just serial numbers
