IBF has clarified on the proposed rule change of allowing the coaches to give advice to the players during the game and not just after/between 2 games.
    Check this-

    Hmm..better or worse.U decide.
Is interesting. But i really dont know how much advice the player will receive from the coach during the game[how many times??].

Whoa --- the paper says this will be tested in IBF tournaments from 1st of August 2005 to 1st of August 2006 (the latter being the earliest possible date for a real rule change). In other words, this could be tried out during the WC.

We still don't know exactly how this could look, but it will certainly change the role of the coach. No more silent moping by the courtside. ;)

Usually major changes should not occur just before a major tournament such as this. It should be tested out at lesser tournaments first to test their feasibility and acceptance. It looks rather surprising to be introduce at the World Championships. We'll just have to wait and see.

Does that means coaches can call breaks during game, or they could yell from the side?

I dont think this change will affect the game too much, Coaches tend to shout and cheer at least some words of encouragement anyway, and any kind of tactical words may worsen players performance during an actual game anyway.

Agree though that it may be upsetting starting the trial for a period close to WC, with few tournaments to test prior to the "major". The trial period also seems quite long too.
