    Question About Racket Brands

I hear people talking about Yonex rackets a lot, is it the "best" brand of racket or something? In badminton videos, I most often see players holding yonex rackets. What makes yonex so popular or good? What about other brands of rackets such Wilson and Black Knight? Are they just worse overall or something?

    Thanks for any comments.

some rackets are for some users. physically, there is no best. psychologically, there is a best for yourself, personally. i know i'm sounding "corny", but thats just the way it is. some people might not like yonex because of personal preferences (too expensive, too fragile, too heavy, too whatever). some may prefer other brands. its your choice;brand name doesnt really matter, as long as you are satisfied (again, i'm sounding corny.)

p.s.: i personally prefer yonex racquets, but they certainly are expensive...

    regards,

    jc

Regarding yonex popularity, I think it is because of marketing. I have played with Yonex, Wilson, Black Knight, and some others. I don't find one is better than the other. Best only can be defined by oneself. Personally, I like to get a reasonable priced racket. From the forum, I have read so many postings that expensive rackets got broken due to clashes, stringers fault, etc. Seems not too worth it for me to buy expensive racket. Also since I am in the US, I much rather buy rackets from US companies, as an encouragement for the companies to support badminton in the US. Just my personal preference.

    Cheers.
