So which do u feel are the really good badminton clothing the players' have worn till now.Clothing is a very important aspect and is getting better but some designs are not good looking to say to the least.Anyways how about posting some pics on the best or atleast good clothing u find in any tournament until now.ok here are a few to start with- 1. LinDan-Denmark2003 i like the colours a lot[much better than their {chinese}current yellow ones-my opinion].Good piece of clothing 2.Kim.Dong.Moon-Ra.Kyung.Min-Korea_Open_2004 Again pretty good colours[not the best pic to show them] 3.Taufik.Hidayat-Indonesia2003 not a bad piece of clothing either.Atleast better than the Indonesians' olympics black outfits[again just my opinion] i will post some more later.
Their clothing is more of a royal blue, in my view not very appealing. I believe the nicest one was worn my Lin Dan, that light green one that he wore and it's the same one that Hidayat is wearing in the above image as well. Very nice.
Some more... 1.Taufik-SO 2005 I like the colour and the design of the shirt. 2.Taufik-SO 2005 Pretty good shirt[turning out to be very popular-Chen Hong,Taufik,Lin,LCW have all worn this in the last 2 tournaments.] 3.Peter Gade-Olympics 2004 Simple design but very pleasent colours
I like the top Taufik wore at the WC in the final. Does anyone know where you can get that top in the UK?
most likely u can't. the YONEX uk range of clothing is very limited. In japan a 54-page brochure is produced for the clothing alone. In the uk there is a rather pathetic range of a few shirts and shorts which would probably take up a couple of pages of the Japanese brochure
In Korea, you can get shorts in any colour as long as they're black. A lot of pros both inside and outside Korea use those Yonex ones that are halfway between sky and royal blue but I don't know where you'd buy them here. I am exaggerating. There are some other boring colours like red and navy available from some brands and pink and orange in women's sizes. I swear that at the Asian Games in 2002 Pulella Gopichand had a pair of purple Yonex shorts but I've never seen such things since and of course you can't buy those here. In terms of shirts, I still like the old style white ones from the 80s and 90s with the assymetrical graffics bleeding out of one shoulder.
Hey event, Maybe you can help me with this. I am looking to get my hands on a pair of Korean national team's uniform (the navy blue ones with light blue and black stripes circa 2004). Do you know of any e-tailer in Korea that does oversea transactions? One who understands English and accept credit card payment would be ideal.
Kim Dong Moon and the Korea Team always has the nicest colors and patterns, especially the royal blue with white and red accents Nice and clean, the way I like it; not crazy like the Lin Dan's Chinese Dragon designs. Team Indo's black with gray accents is nice too.
You're actually looking for something that says Korea on the back? And it's not the one shown in DaN_fAn's post? As I say, I don't even know where to get the shorts of a certain colour so finding a national team uniform may well not be possible. Is the attached photo the one you want? It seems you can get this one in a generic version (ie no team crest) as the one photo is from an online shop. You might want to take a look at photos of the Korean team... http://www.koreabadminton.org/data/...rch_key=&page=1 ...and find the style you are talking about. I have to warn you though. Korean online badminton shops are notoriously untrustworthy. I once ordered 1 pair of Victor and 1 pair of MMoa shorts and they sent me 1 pair of Yonex shorts and a cotton Yonex T-shirt claiming the price was about the same. No advanced notice, nothing. I've had slightly less infuriating luck with the other ones. As for English, I can tell you right now it isn't going to happen. Sorry I can't be of much help.
Hey Event, Thanks for the response! Yup! That one wore by Jun Jae Youn is one of two styles I wanted. Really appreciate the advance warnings though. Maybe I might have better chance with Japanese e-tailers as they seem to have more selections.
The info page on buying this shirt (won't say "Korea" on the back) is here http://www.hiclear.co.kr/apparel/yonex_shirts_wear0408_1473.htm It's 48,000won. None of the online retailers here ship overseas, the one at the link here only takes payment by direct deposit in their bank account which can only really be done from within Korea and many e-tailers here require registration which is impossible for anyone not born in Korea (ie. issued a citizen registration number that can be recognized by online sites' software). Probably every organization in Korea has someone who can speak and read English but the odds are strongly against the person who first receives your correspondence caring enough to try to find said person and work with them to figure out what you want. This isn't always true, of course, but you can be sure it is in an organization that doesn't ship overseas. On the other hand, doesn't every Canadian know someone who teaches in Korea? So if you really want one, it shouldn't be that hard. If you know such a person, tell them that Hi-Clear is the most reliable online badminton retailer.
