Does anyone know of any differences between the "normal" yonex SHB 99 and the limited edition version? I was thinking about getting a pair when they come out, but I'm struggling to find any differences other than cosmetic, so wondering whether it would be money well spent. I've enclosed a link for the limited edtn version (didn't bother with "normal" as I assume everyone knows what it looks like.)

    Any info is appreciated,

I know where to get it- they're out in August in UK, which, conveniently, is where I live! I was only looking to find out if there are any differences, and whether I should save a few founds and get the normal ones

Apart from the cosmetics, the limited edition (silver and red) version will be low cut. In other words is have less ankle support. But if you like more freedom of movement (over and above support), then this is your cup of tea.

I was under the impression from Yonex UK that the only difference is in colour scheme.

The make-up of the shoe is no different to the ordinary shoe.

This shoe is QUITE amazing. That image is quite fake of Lin Dan wearing them. He's still wearing SHB-98s from the Malaysia Open. Chen Hong was wearing it in the Yonex Japan '05 that I know of. You'll notice it if you pay close attention to the video =)

I got to take a look at it from a Yonex Distributor in my area. It sort of has this flap that completely covers your foot inside. Supposedly it keeps you cool and does a whole bunch of stuff. Well anyway, my point is, don't judge things by their cover heehee:D

    Strange!!

One of my badders was wearing them yesterday. But the print right besides the shoelace shows "Limited" instead of "Low".

But the color scheme is exactly the same as 99Lo's

    I'm a bit confused
