Lin Dan vs Lee Chong Wei - who's ur fav.

I'm sure this will be a hot topic.

Lin Dan - From 1st round till quarter final, no problem at all. In semi-finals, he met Peter Gade, he did many mistakes in 1st set, then the coming sets he solved them easily.

Lee Chong Wei - He's the championship holder for this badminton open. After having easy matches in 1st and 2nd round, he did great job in quarter finl too, by beating Singapore Open champion - Taufik Hidayat. During semi-finals, facing Bao Chun Lai, he won 11-15, 15-12 and 15-9.

Who is your choice for this year Malaysian Open Champion?

My Choice --- Lee Chong Wei

Robertson and Emms are struggling at the moment..They lost to a Thai pair in the QF of the SO and now to an up-and-coming Chinese pair in the SF...Sure they've reached the Semis for the 1st time since winning @ Swiss Open this past March, but from what i see, I have a feeling with the departure of Rexy, it could affect the way they are playing...Furthermore, it seemed like they are struggling playing out in Asian countries(well most European players are)..
Come WC, eventhough playing in the U.S., if they don't prepare well, they might not even win that one as well..

By the looks of things, come end of Finals it could be an all China sweep...Unless the Koreans, Malaysian, and Indos play hard and pull one, two or three out..

I think the brits were playing badly these last 2 days because of what happened in London...it probably affected their concentration a little bit or something to that effect.

    Enter the dragon

For Lee Chong Wei, the strategy is simple when go against Lin Dan : full assault. Taufik has shown us the way to neutralize Lin Dan attack, force Lin Dan to lift or drive to his back hand then attack him. Can Chong Wei sustain the attack for the whole duration is the quesiotn(we know Peter Gade unable to sustain for his age)

    Still #1

Agreed. it's hard to concentrate on anything when your city is under attack, Nathan and Emms is still #1 mix double in my book.

I dont think the factor is age if we discus the reason why Gade lost today. He has beaten 4 world class players on his way to the semi final and one day played against roslin and Wong. Thats tough stuff and Lin Dan on the other hand got a WO and a easier draw. Before the match he was fresh and Gade tired... I think LCW has a fair chance tomorrow. Taufik and Gade has shown how to troble Lin, by attacking him constantly and not lifting the shuttle high

Well, in any tournaments nowadays, there are really only 3 titles in competition. Just forget about the Womens Games.

This is not a recent development. It has been like that for a long time. In fact, it was only recently that the Chinese women were challenged.

    True,totally agree

Haha...what to do man. Those Chinese are damn good in womens category. How many years do you all think other countries need to spend to catch up with the Chinese gals quality?I was there in the semifinal yesterday, seems like all the spectators only bother about mix doubles, mens single and double games. When came to the gals game, the spectators looked like very boring including me ....
    For my prediction cum wishes(hehe..):
    MS - Chong Wei
    MD - Chandra/Sigit
