Hi Sandy,

There are quite a few badminton coaches here, most of them home grown.
unfortunately, as with other countries, there are opposing factions within the ranks.

You have the Asuncion's, you have the Chan's among others.

About the Philippine Badminton Association, it's a circus, reeking of corruption (according to public perception) yet woefully short on funds.

this is the biggest challenge for phil badminton, and phil sports in general - to get rid of corruption (highly improbable but not impossible) and dramatically lessen the politics in sports...maybe then we can be serious contenders in the world stage...good luck to our athletes!

saw a snippet of the doubles match between singapore and phils tonight...can't remember who though haha...the phil duo gave the singapore pair a run for their money in the second set but lost in the rubber match...

ive seen Nguyen Tien Minh play, hes really fast, gave me a scare when he beat LCW in the first set and in the second set he was way ahead(like 8-0) and LCW just forced a rubber match and won the third set, during the second set there was this very very very long rally after that, both of them just crouch on their ends of the court and the spectators gave them a loud applause, and after the game which i think took more than an hour we gave them a big cheer for a very good game they gave us.
