Update: just checked the Hi-Qua website, the fly clamp is completely made of steel.

    So, it's all metal.

I've strung up to 25/27.5 lbs so far. No signs of slipping. Also the knots were done at 29 lbs and no signs of slipping either. The clamps are bigger than they look in pictures. I'm pretty sure it's wider than the YY's. This makes it a bit inconvenient to start the crosses with the Top to Bottom pattern, but only a small inconvenience. These are Hi-QUAlity clamps indeed!

Agree. I've had no problems with the clamp and will pick-up another one.

I just tried out the Hi-Qua strings on my CAB30MS... it's as good as any other string... I like it as much as BG65... actually a little better than that... it's really an amazing value...

Do you find it closer to BG-65 than other Yonex strings?

The string is really soft... I really like it... It's better than BG65 in my opinion... I haven't extensively played with it... only about half an hour... I knew I would be going to the club with some friends today, so I strung it on my CAB30MS so I could try it out and have some personal experience for this forum and my customers.

I actually thought it would suck... I expected it to be less repulsive. It was actually very good... it reminds me of BG68Ti... the repulsion. It was also very crisp...

I will try and do a more extensive comparison with BG65... but I really like this string... I may stick with it... saves me lots of money...

    1. How soft is it? Even softer than BG85?

    2. Is this string also Ti coated?

    Thnx for the feedback.

LB, what do you mean by soft? As opposed to the board-like feel to Kevlar strings for tennis?

BTW, I highly doubt it's Ti coated. I could easily be mistaken, of course, but the HQ feels a little rough while Ti-coated strings feel very slick and look shiny to me.

That's exactly my question for fishmilk. I want to get some sort of sense about how "soft" it is.
