Well, I previously owned a Carbonex 20 Original and then after some research and some testimonials, some people said to get the Cab30ms. Now after spending the last 6 months with it, I personally believe that this was not a REAL suggestion but more likely that fans of the cab30ms just wanted to praise their racquet because I find that the cab20 and cab30 are not even close in comparison.

So are there any balanced racquet that are equivalent or somewhat close to the same feel, weight, and control of the cab20? I might look towards AT500 since I have tried it out and it seems somewhat like it.

    Thanks,

Yeah, just get another Cab 20. They still make them new and they're available in Japan. I get a new one each year for the last 2 years now.

Cab20 and Cab30ms are surely different. The extra 1cm in cab30ms will definitely effect ur timing. AT500??? Personally, I assume the difference should be even more significant, as the head shape is also different.

Of course, whatever u fee like is the most important. ;)

    cab 22

If you feel comfortable with your Carbonex 20, I think you should get it.

Out of topic: have you tried Carbonex 22? I borrowed my friend's Carbonex 22 once and I must say that I am really impressed. I like Carbonex 22 a lot. I am really thinking about getting Carbonex 22 if I can find it.

At first I had no chance of getting another cab20 because no one near me was dealing it. Luckily hehe, my friend just went back to HK and he's gonna get me another cab20. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

    I'll try to find a cab22 if I can =)

    A Cab22 is VASTLY different from a Cab20.

    I see.

Cab20s have never been in Canada actually. If you wanted one, you always had to import it from Asia.

I hope my new cab20 when it comes will never break heh. :D I suspect that when I got my racquet strung at Lee's, they might have broke my first cab20 :(

What about a cab21? :p We have the new version in the US now so i'm thinking that Canada may have them as well.

We don't have them yet but Cab21 should be an acceptable equivalent^^

agreed. other than a similar balance and racket shape, the cab20 and cab22 differs in weight, stiffness, liveliness.

the cab22 is a much more difficult racket to play with compared to the cab20.

nope. the cab21 isn't the same either. there is a noticable difference in weight, balance as well as stiffness.

I have tried Cab22 and I really like it. I don't know that Cab22 is difficult to play with. Right now, I wonder how Cab20 feels like because I think perhaps I will like it more (since it is less difficult to play with). Now, my mission is to find someone who can borrow me Cab20. :D

Trance: sorry to bring your post out of topic, but I still think that you should try Cab22. From people who have tried both Cab 20 and 22, they say that these two rackets are very different, but perhaps Cab22 can suit you better. Who knows? :)
