this may sound wierd but i wanna check out some fake rackets as tehy seem to be getting better and are a lot cheaper From the stores i know of such as tad's and impulse, they only sell real stuff. soo.... does anyone know places in vancouver area where fake rackets are sold?
but don't blame the crappy product on the back of shipping cost. I have bot cd's, electronics from ebay where S&H cost more than the merchandise itself. Millions of people spends 0.5 to 1$ everyday to mail letters that worth less than that ALL THE TIME. I think u want cheapest fake racket from china and have it arrived in one piece and well packaged and using cheap chinese mailman that go hiding inside an airplane to come over and then hand it to u at the door.LOL
How exactly do you know they are getting better? By using a fake racket, your not only endangering yourself but the players around you since they break so often. Have you seen the post about the fatality that happened in kits in may because of a broken racket? Although not sure if it was a fake racket involed, most fake rackets break in ways that real rackets do not. Here it the thread in case you missed it: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23645 As for stores selling fakes, I'm sure stores selling fakes in vancouver could lose their store licence as business laws in Canada are much more strict than in asia. Why not just buy a cheaper real racket if your so concerned with price?
I don't think brick & mortar businesses would openly sell "fake" racquets due to legal ramifications. Besides through the internet, the fakes are sold by enterprising entrepreneur(s) who visit badminton drop-in centres, look for the really big bags! Cheers!
Don't know why you would even bother but you won't find fake racquets in any stores locally. Your best bet would be other players who have bought from either eBay or from Asia or as BMS suggested. Know that you run the risk and definitely no warranty. You could be liable for injuries incurred by others as a result of your usage of fakes (if you knowingly buy a fake as opposed to not knowing that it was fake).
Agreed. Legal issues. Prolly the best reason to avoid buying fakes on purpose. One lawsuit can land u some serious problems
I knew someone who decided to try a fake AT800Def (he knew it was a fake). It felt good for a few sessions, but one month later, the racquet broke when he hit the shuttle on the frame (and not on another person's racquet). The seller apologise and offered to sell him another! It's one thing when you know you are buying a fake, versus a person thinking he is buying the real thing and got a fake instead! Cheers!
And same result as wasting $$$ (consider fairly short life span with no warranty) and risk of injuries (due to easy breakage).
hehe im one of those greedy people who always wants a deal well guess i will just have to save up for a better and more dependable product
You can always go to a used sports equipment store. They have warranties and they have legit items (although they tried to rip me off when I tried to sell an old iso... $4.50 my butt ) Another option is go to as much garage sales, yard sales etc. as you can. Great deals AND you can bargain till the owner cracks
There is always Tad's Sporting Goods (in Vancouver) which does sell some used rackets if someone trades in one, otherwise they sell mainly new rackets. They are an authorized Yonex dealer as well.
can u tell me the location of tad's? i noe impulse is at alberdeen and abbies is at main, but i want a bigger selection so i can compare prices TY pm me plz
