I currently use the 800 def 4U G4 (bg 65 at 24lbs). I am thinking about buying another one, but cant find any cheap anywhere, but have managed to get a deal for some 7000's at £69 each, assuming I buy 3. I have used a nano 8000 and found it way too light. i haven't been able to test the nano 7000, so was looking for a few opinions on whether it's any good compared to the 800 def, and whether it's worth the change.

    AT 800Def n NS7K

    Hi Will_0407,
I had used AT800Def, NS8K, and NS7K before. U will find NS7K is much lighter than NS8K. Are u a single or double player? Are u an attacking player or defensive or strokes player? If u are an attacking player, then i think NS7K might not suitable for u.It is head light. MP 100 is good for single, attacking player and AT 800OFF is good for double attacking player. As for yrs AT 800 DEF is quite a well rounded racket, more towards defensive but but alots of guys still use it for single and double plays. Maybe if u can wait for a while, u may try out NS9K?
Thailand have the cheaper Yonex rackets n if yr frens r there, grab one.:D

I am a defensive player, and play doubles or singles. When i picked up the 7000 it seemed heavier than the 8000

    Choosing rackets

    Hi,
I feel that NS8K is more solid than NS7K. I dont think NS7K is heavier than NS8K. I had used both rackets before. Well, this will depend on u. whichever racket suitable for u then u should choose it.If u like light rackets then u may even consider Carlton Ramussen or ProAce ABS 1000. Both are light and easy to maneuvre.

It's possible that the NS7k is heavier than NS8k, as there are 4g range within each U lvl. However, NS7k is head light. If u r very much used to AT800's head heaviness, it might take u a bit time to adjust ur timing.

Good point. If they are from reputable dealer (i.e. store promotion), then it's surely a good deal if NS7k fits for ur style. If they are from ebay, make sure check bluejeff's fake ebay seller list 1st. ;)
