recently, my girl was complaining to me about back painafter badminton

she has been playing for about 1/2 year

if anyone consider any of the following wording is inappropriate, please notify me

    here is what she figured

"i think its about my breast size, i have to balance it at the front, so it won't be obstructing myself. and its kinda hard to do it whilst playing badminton"

she has a pretty ok figure
    C-cup

do we have a lady who can gimme an answer to this question?

coz its the only sport she does

and i dun want her to be sitting at home and grow fat

    Nice touch, Ivan... nice touch:rolleyes:.

BTW, is she wearing those sports bras for joggers? Also, there are certain exercises she could do for her lower back. Baddy is hard on the back for all players, so get her to strengthen her back if she hasn't done physical activities other than the sport.

It means she has weak lower back muscles. Once she strengthens them, she should be ok.

where exactly is the back pain? (upper mid lower?)
And how tall is she? (this does become a factor when it comes to balancing)

Because it might be her bending back too much (without noticing she does it)
    or she's doing something wrong

And wut does she mean by "obstructing"... because my lady friends who play that do have larger upper torsos dont complain about back pains or obstruction...

Cheung? ur a doctor... wut do u say? :D

    One reply? Yes, from 15Love.

The problem is not endowment, but lack of exercise. Core exercises, pilates will fix this problem. Males have this back problems too, I might add, so as it's easy to focus on the "giggle" aspect of this thread, the answer is physical fitness.

As one BF poster once said, get fit to play badminton, and not the other way around.

    she is 162cm tall, ~48kg......

OK I have one already so I am legit and not just leering (alright maybe a little). :D

Back to the topic, does she stretch properly prior to playing? Stretching the muscles along the back and sides is a no-brainer. Also ease into her warm-up strokes instead of going at it hard. Also good shoes with appropriate arch support really helps relieve back stress. Good luck with your quest for an answer.

Of course you were joking. It would have been weird and downright freaky if you weren't:p.

BTW, Ivan... I once knew of a girl who went for breast reduction surgery to size down from D to C-cup to reduce her chronic back pain. She played badminton and was quite athletic before she left the varsity program. Later she went for corrective surgery to balance the load a year or two after her graduation as the effects of her reduced physical activity in her busy life were felt. Strengthening the lower back is key. Like Woodchuck said, core exercises like calisthenics, pilates and yoga poses will do the trick.

but it is kinda annoying for me that massage her every night

i think its about her fitness after reading all the post....

see if there is any YOGA or tai chi whatsoever....

anyway, she is going to training with me tonight, i will see if it does any changes

sorry if its a little to late to post a reply.
i'm a lady and i'm pretty active in badminton. i train a few times a week. but i m currently taking a break because of exams. i too, like your daughter wear a c-cup. coming to think about it, i do have some ocasional back pains, but i have never related it to badminton, instead i thought its due to my sleeping on the floor. my breast does affect me in a way, i have a big problem finding bras to play badminton with. so i usually wear a few layers. u might suggest this to your daughter if she is having the same problem with me. but i really dont think my occasional back pains are because of badminton. maybe i have less need to 'balance' myself, since i am shorter and weigh more than your daughter.

anyway, tell your daughter that quiting badminton because of oversized breasts is definately a BAD IDEA. there must be a solution to her problem.

    proper supportive sports bra
lots of back stretching, depends on country as to how to stretch....hold for 10 secs, jerk, dont jerk etc etc personally i'd go with smooth increaments and not jerk.
maybe she uses her back too much or incorrectly? i have a tendency to be lazy and just arch back instead of getting my feet behind the shuttle. that has caused me slight problems in lower to mid back.
mid back is primarily rotation so maybe she is twisting too much? or hasnt stretched out before hand (and after, very important)
