Predictions The predictions are easy, mostly just choosing the seeds to win, except one or two occasions. MS (R32) Q1 - Lin Dan, Sato, Hafiz, Lee Hyun Il Q2 - Peter Gade, Sony, Chen Hong, Ng Wei Q3 - Joppien, Lee CW, Bao, Wong CH Q4 - Boonsak, Taufik, Shon SM, Kenneth Can't see much potential problems here. For Sony, it depends on his form. Haven't seen him for some time. If his form is suspect, Kaldau will take advantage. WS (R32) Q1 - Zhang Ning, Yonekura, Yao Jie, Mori Q2 - Pi Hongyan, Li Li, Xu Huaiwen, Salakjit Q3 - Wong MC, Schenk, Hirose, Wang Chen Q4 - Popat, Hallam, Mia, Xie Xingfang Potential problems: Wong MC v Cheng Shao-Chieh Salakjit v Ella Karachkova MD (R32) Q1 - Eriksen/Lundgaard (walkover), Laybourn/Steffensen, Chew/Choong, Gunawan/Bach Q2 - Luluk/Alven, Tan/Ong, Jung/Lee, Logosz/Mateusiak Q3 - Flandi/Eng, Boe/Mogensen, Chan/Koo, Fu/Cai Q4 - Liu/Njoto, Paaske/Rasmussen, Sudket/Patapol, Candra/Sigit Potential problems: Chew/Choong v Sang/Zheng (match of the day) Sudket/Patapol v Fairuz/Lin WD (R16) Q1 - Yang/Zhang, Emms/Kellogg Q2 - Lee KW/Lee HJ, Chin/Wong Q3 - Zhang D/Zhang YW, Wei/Zhao Q4 - Saralee/Sathinee, Gao/Huang Potential problems: Chin/Wong v Hallam/Munt (match of the day) XD (R32) Q1 - Songpol/Kulchala (walkover), Shirley/Runesten, Lee HJ/Lee JJ, Clark/Kellogg Q2 - Chen/Zhao, Asuncion/Asuncion, Eriksen/Schjoldager, Xie/Zhang Q3 - Bergstrom/Persson, Blair/Munt, Laybourn/Juhl, Widianto/Natsir Q4 - Saputra/Li, Sudket/Saralee, Koo/Wong, Zhang/Gao Potential problems: Shirley/Runesten v Druzchenko/Nozdran
For WD, I think Chin/Wong will beat Hallam/Munt.No problem! the wd match of the day will be Gail Emms/Donna Kellogg vs Helle Nielsen/Pernille Harder. For XD. I think we can't ignore the match: Hendry Kurniawan Saputra/Yujia Li vs Robert Mateusiak/Nadiezda Kostiuczyk.
well, it is no use to blame them now i am totally disappointed to CCTV5 whose favor is everything except badminton
which is 05.40 here in Asia...i.e. really early in the morning! No matter, still can't watch it anyway.
I just hope Aparna Popat continues her good form and wins the 2nd round just like hcyong has predicted.
isn't it wierd? chinese lady are unbeatable lately? why it's change sudenly after the zhou mi lost, now xxf is loosing either? what is wrong with them? sorry wrong news.. XXF won
The live score is weird as it has the XXF-Griga score for the first game at 13-12. I thought that WS was set to 12??? Ron
its set to 11, like the mens double, it'll go 2 over... the first one there wins... I never saw the 2 round... What was the final score? And Griga was controlling, I would say 90% of the first round...It seems all the female chinese singles players are losign their touch, with the exception of zhang ning...
Mia is plain cruising.... A total of less than half hour of play in 2 rounds and already in the Qtr Final.
MS : Hope that Wengberg can challange Sato in Q1. Indeed Kaldau could trouble Sony (Q2) but looks like his form is Ok so it shouldn't be any upset. Also not sure about SSM against Gaffar (Q3). In WS, XXF had a scare in first set! And Popat is out...Agree that Salakjit vs Karachkova can be tight. WD: Think Emms/Kellog vs Nielsen/Hardere is a 50/50
Re: Mia is plain cruising Well she's had an easy draw, but still! She's played 73 rallies, won 57 to gain the 44 needed points, only lost 3 points so far in 4 sets.....most impressive. Guess XXF need to be alot better in the QF than against Griga otherwise China might only get one medal in the WS (ZN).
probably pi hongyan if anyone... or xie xingfang herself.. Or perhaps an injury that'll end zhangning's career, like Susilo's...
If Zhang Ning and XXF meet it'll mean that China is going to get gold and silver...they are 1st and 2nd seed = can only meet in the final.
