information taken from posts by Togey, from

    http://www.espnstar.com/tvtimes/tvtimes_index.jsp
(select hong kong, star sports hk, badminton, and the dates of 20-22nd)

i will be recording it from SopCast. to record w/ sopcast, once u click the channel, theres a red box and click that. it will save as a asf, even though there will be no file extension. use gspot to find out what kind of file it is. after saving the matches as asf, i will convert, or split and upload to other people here who have the processing power to encode in xvid or mpeg.

    sincerely,

    jc

    ps: enjoy!

What is the difference between this and PPLive? Does it use the same peers or is it a different sharing arrangement altogether? Will PPLive not get Star Sports?

It seems that Star Sports was removed from the channel list. Nooooo! Won't get to see the quarterfinals tomorrow, if that's the case.

You should unzip the file to a folder. Open that folder, and click on the Sopcast icon. That should start up the program.

A little trick I noticed. If you can't understand and don't want the Chinese commentary on Star Sports and are watching it on SopCast, disconnect your right speaker. All I have is the sound in the gym now. Great.
