I was wondering.. if there is ever such a thing to repaint your racket.. Just like re-painting your car.. you repaint your racket to a different design and pattern.. It's because i have a few really scratched rackets in my storeroom (found it when i was doing some clearing)..So this idea came to my mind or re-painting them and re-using it for recreational use..

Wonder if you people out there heard of such a thing?

well if you paint your racket it will change its feel, because paint adds weight, and the paint might go on unevenly, and thats not good when there might be 15-35 lbs of tension on them, it could break on a mishit

i don't mean that the paint job is a DIY kinda of thing.. i meant it like shops would actually do it like how cars are being repainted.. the paint on cars doesn't go uneven, do they? yeah..

I've always wondered about that. Get an estimate from a car shop and ask I guess.

You can have it done professionally but the price is very high: £150

I was looking into it a wee while back because my AT700's were getting a bit old looking with all the paint chips :(

YOu have to remove the grommets, remove all the lacquer and paint, mask off the holes, re-paint and re-lacquer.

The guy who was going to do it is a specialist in custom piant jobs and said he had done golf clubs so there shouldn't be any problems with the flexing of the racket breaking the paint finish or cracking.

After that you have to find new grommets, install them and have a restring done.

    Not worth it

I was only wanting a pearl white finish with a gold YY at the t-joint
