Hmm..check this out..
..according to this article (i know from 2008), he was the team manager.
Has he been promoted/elevated to the head coach position? Or was it a typo in the article? Or is the head coach the same as the team manager? Or??..

Kim Joong Soo's position hasn't changed. It's all a matter of how you translate the word from Korean. His position is gamdok/감독/監督. It's the same expression used in Korean to refer to a movie director. In sports, however, the position is almost invariably a head coaching position as the person who gets it is almost always promoted to it from a rank-and-file coaching position. This is the case with Kim, who was a coach from '99 to 2000 before becoming head coach in 2001.

^^So..^^
..what is his actual position? Is he a team manager? Or was it a typo? Or is he the team's head coach?..Or both?

As far as i understand it, a head coach has direct coaching communication with the players (like an NFL, NBA, NHL, College football, basketball). A team manager is more like someone who does the behind the scene, non-coaching duties and oversees the entire squad; akin to a general manager.
Or maybe the term is more closely related to a baseball manager or football/soccer manager? One who gets involved directly, through coaching, with the players.

He's always communicating with the players. Not quite often on the court in play, but in training sessions and moreover after tournament games, the players usually go to him and listen to his comments on the games. His position is just like LYB. He also discuss all with the assistant coaches like KKJ, KYH, etc.
There is nothing like higher ranked team manager than coach who has directly communicate with their plays, even though some other guys are in charge of similar duties.

The photo set 3672 here has a thumbnail of her and there is another if you click on her photo. There is an old one here, too. Two more here. Another here. Apparently there is also a track runner named Kim Hana. It's not an uncommon name, though.
