1) Less then 30 mins 2) 30mins-1hr 3) 1hr - 1hr 30mins 4) More then 1 and a half hours Mine just last over 40mins today....
It really depends on the kind of rallies you have. Feather shuttles last the longest in singles' games, and the shortest in Men's D. My personal experience was two shuttles in a doubles' game regularly. It could be more than two in a game if everybody's smoking the shuttle all over the place.
And of course depends on how you decide a bird is non-usable. I saw 2 ladies hitting a bird for 1/2 hours with most of the feathers gone.
Just want to know what everyone's def on what a dead bird is. For me, 1 feather gone is wonded, 2 feathers on oppisite side is crippled. if a bird wobble during flight, it is dead...
We usually replace the shuttle when it's to the point where the shuttle flight get wobbly... and sometimes that's before it even loses any feather. We recycle those for practice and warm-up.
My teamates and I mainly use Blue Hi-Qua, Green Victor or Green Tronex. For the games in 120 minutes, we will use up around 18 shuttlecorks. It is around 6-7 minutes per shuttlecork. Since we are mainly in double games, so the shuttlecork will be damaged faster.
Depends on the match. And the quality of stroke, IE: if I hit a shocker I sometimes flatten a perfectly good shuttle. They go into the basket for training or for use on nights when shuttles aren't provided new if you don't have your own.
1 feather shuttle? Is there such thing? Should be 16 feather shuttles . Anyway i know what you mean. It really depends on the quality. The one that i use usually last around 15 to 20 mins. Not much smashing. With loads of smashing.. usually last around 5 to 10mins.
15 min is average in singles. In doubles a lot less (depends a lot on who you're playing with and against). My preference in shuttlecock brands: 1. Black Sosan, 2. Green Victor, 3. RSL Silver 4. if 1 - 3 not available anything goes
usually about 20 mins in singles and 15 mins in doubles (i dont pay for shuttles when i play in club because club supplies them) i usually play with ashaway black grade shuttles
That's why badminton players are very picky about who they play with. Tough being a newbie in this sport.
each time i go to china, i bring back 3 cartons (a dozen), and i dotn always play with, i use coach's
