    Hello everyone,

My friends and I chip in to rent an elementary school gym for badminton every Tuesday night from September to June. We start Sept 6, 2005. All the details are below. We usually have around 15-20 players (there are 3 courts and we rotate). The skill level of most of our group is intermediate: we're not beginners and we're not pros or club players, we're basically at the same level as anyone who plays regularly at community centres, etc.

Feel free to drop by and try it out.

    Thanks.

    Steve

    TUESDAY BADMINTON 2005 / 2006

    WHERE:

    Osler Elementary School (3 courts).
From Oak Street, turn west on 43rd. Go one block, school is on left. Park in the parking lot next to basketball court.
The ceiling is higher than most elementary schools (but obviously it's lower than VRC, etc).
    The lighting is good.
Two of the courts have no hanging obstacles. The third has a rope near the ceiling but it rarely interferes.
I sweep the floor myself because I like a clean floor and the custodian doesn't do it to my satisfaction.

    WHEN:

    Tuesdays, 6:30 - 9:30 PM
    From Sept. 6, 2005 to June 20, 2006. (39 sessions).
Cancelled on Dec. 20, Dec. 27, Mar. 14

COST: (note, we supply the birds: plastic yellow Yonex Mavis 300)

    Drop in:
    $5 per session.

    Full Time:
$165 for the whole year. Please pay entire amount at beginning of year if possible.
    Part Time:
$45 for a 10-week pass (any 10 weeks, doesn’t have to be consecutive).

    Hello Wonger47,

The number of spots is not limited. Over the years we've had ups and downs in the attendance but it's never gotten so crowded on a consistent basis that we had to limit the attendance.

    Thanks,

    Steve
