    Change

Change of plans, have recently checked with the University of Calgary and there is no drop-in for friday its open gym from what the girl told me, seeing as how you have to have other players to set up nets we have decided to go to play at Village Square Leisure Center, probally after 6 by the time we get there. sorry for changing this but yeah due to lack of know players going from both U of C and from friends outside university. does anybody think there going to playing at Village square anyways? might meet see some fellow bf'ers.

There is drop in on the one gym (red) and then the U of C club ( i.e the one run by Grant Wong) on the other side on friday from 7 - 10 pm. Usually on Friday's they play in the gold gym.

Grant usually gets a good turn out on friday's, hence they have 10-12 courts going.

Village sqaure can get a little cramped for space. But used to be a decent place to play ( haven't been in a year)

Hopefully the U of C doesn't pull a last minute cancellation like they usually do and everyone gets jammed into the smaller gym...

Well last Friday was the first day for drop in the Uof C badminton
and they had to move to the smaller gym (6 courts). It was pretty pack.
    I've only played 2 sets for $5.

Village Sq just openned up this Monday. So if you're going, you better get there sometime this week, while the gym is still nice and shinny. Its has been pretty quite there this week so far.
Monday and Wednesday still has badminton drop in with the older guys there. Friday, well not too sure what it will look like this week. I am guessing its gonna be pack, cause its the first weekend since the re-openning.

really? hum oh well most of the people i knwo will be going to Village square anyways so they will keep a court for us and anyways if we show up and they go for lunch then well ill just heav to challange for a court or just play games against people. kinda hoping to play against some of the older players and well its a friday so they will have the whole gym for badminton on friday so yeah we will be able to grab a court for sure when they opewn up the gym. well i hope so oh well its still cheaper for me to go there than U of C like $4 cheper. but when i went i asked the lady and she looked at the books and said that there was no drop in on the friday, there was also a guy there that agreed with her...oh well if im wrong a little to late to change that. maby another time.

Drop in starts at 7pm in the evening i believe.
Thats still remain the same for every Friday.

So far the court have been pretty empty this week.
But the only thing i pray for is that they maintain the court
and keep it clean and shinny.

Oh ya, they don't have the curtain up yet. So if you're playing
best position would be to look inward towards the wall. Its very
hard to see without the curtain.

    hi smash_master
Ya, i saw you playing there.
Guess it was you. Since you were the only one that wasn't the normal crowd there.

Did notice you had problem on your wrist.
Hopefully you'll be better to be back in action again.

About the curtain, its really a pain

No we didn't play game that day.
I was on the court next to you, toward the entrance.
I did inform the crowd at LC that you're there.
Didn't know who you were, just someone new will be there.
Cause i saw your message on the forum.

My inlaws are in town next week, which means I have in house babysitting and most likely can sneak in a few times to play.
I'll find out what my sched is liek and see about hooking up one night. (Reminds me that I have to pick up some more shuttles...) Villaeg square is great as it's only 20 min from my house in Strathmore.
