Which one do you guys/gals prefer? Since i travel alot , i'm thinking of investing in one of these stuffs. At least can store more than 20G of informations. Not only for music, but can store pictures, files etc... I'm currently looking at Ipod Photo 60G. Unless if you guys can give me reviews on other brands as well.
iPods kick serious butt... They just released new models today, so I think prices went down on model sizes like the one you're looking for.
I prefer to look at other brands BUT if the new models that Locomocco says have better batt. life than the old iPods, it is a good investment. The iPod nano.
You mean the Ipod Nano?.. m looking at that one too.. not too big. Small and nice. But the storage is small.. can only store max 4gs.
i wouldnt touch the nano. that thing looks likes it can easily be snapped in half. i own the 20GB ipod and i'm loving it so far.
the nano is suppose to be the replacement for the mini. the only problem i have with the shuffle is that if you own multiple computers (home desktop, work desktop, and laptop) everytime you plug it in, it'll clear the songs in the shuffle and it'll place the songs in the library of that computer. i got really annoyed at it when i was putting in music for my aunt.
i pod is probs your best bet if you want to view photos etc. but if you want pure music the sony MP3 players (which arent MP3 but sum wierd sony format which is better quality than MP3) are always worth a look cos the battery life is so long and in england are slightly cheaper
the battery life is NOWHERE NEAR what Sony say it is. I have a sony vaio pocket with colour screen, the worst thing about it is that it uses up loads of battery regardless of wheter you actually use it or not
I think you can control the input of music manually into iPods. You need to change it in the Preference section in iTunes. You'll need to dig around a bit as I can't remember exactly. When I set up my iPod Mini I chose the manual option and it doesn't wipe out anything. Good luck.
Hmm...if you are getting ipods, forget it. They are quite a rip. Get iaudio X5L, 20GB with all sorts of bass and stuffs. www.iaudio.com they are really hot stuffs. I am trying to save up for one as well.
i'm just a casual listener. Dont really mind the music mising from the ipod. I can use it to store my files , photos etc. A question.. when you up transfer the music to the ipods.. can you files go missing?
If you are worried about the functionality of other brands, don't worry. iriver or iaudio has all the functions Ipod gives and in fact, Iriver and Iaudio give heaps more functions than Ipods. Not that I'm biased against Ipods, but they are not worth the money. To make your money worth, I say go for iaudio X5L or iriver H10 or the HDD series. I assure that you will not regret. ipod just does a lot of advertising and all our money goes there... I think...and iriver or iaudio although not popular(because they don't do much advertising), is widely used by music geeks.

Definitely iPod. I own a 20GB G3 iPod and I just love it, however, the battery life is one concern for me because it is now last less than 8hrs of play time.
