I want to start this thread to help people who are planning to buy new racquets from Hong Kong or Canada!
hey, the only price (in canada) that i know is the same throughout canada is for the Armortec 500. It is about 160$ CDN without strings. sorry i dont know the price of any more
I went to HK last month and found an alright shop in Kowloon, I remember some prices, -/+ 30 HK dollars. Following in HK dollars, and all in SP Yonex: MP-100: 840 MP-99: 860 MP-23 Power: 420 CAB30MS: 780 AT-700: 820 NS7000: 1172 NS8000: 1272 AT-800 OF/DF:880 MP-88: 800 That's all I remember, prices may vary a lot, my memory is fading and I remember most high class Yonex racquets were around 850 dollars. Don't know if this shop has extra cheap prices, regular or high, but compared to other shops this seemed the best. Feel free to correct my pricing.
wow 800DE/OFF are only 880HKD?? The price drop that much? Last time I saw it was around $1200 HKD...But for the MP99 is a bit expansive, my friend got one for like $800HKD
New top racquets always bump down the price of old ones, good example is MP-99, which is newer than MP-100. Nanospeed most likely brought down the price of AT-800.
In June, my friend helped get me an MP99 (SP) for $790 HK w/o strings. I still have the receipt: Store: Wah San Stationers (Tennis & Stationery Specialist Co) Phone: 2895 6849 2577 7558 Shop 3 G/F. Lok Sing Centre, 19-31 Yee Woo Street Causeway Bay, HK. (Opposite to Regal Plaza Hotel)
DarthHowie: Is there two phone numbers there because there is two sets of numbers. I suspect the 1st 8 is the phone and the last 8 is a fax.
Oops, I forgot to list such an obvious racquet, . I believe it was 790-830, slightly cheaper than MP-100, and slightly more expensive than CAB30-MS.
At Rose Sporting Goods in Mong Kok the NS7K was (at the end of July): NS7K (GR): $1181 NS7K (SP): $1081 I don't recall the JP version unfortunately.
