the other day i was play with my friend i was doing really poorly but wen i start to play with my lil 7 year old brother in a doubles game i was smashing everything. is it becuz the first game was like too much pressure? or is just lik not being warmed up
here some question I need to ask u. What was ur position when u in teh first and second game??? is ur friend better than u ?? what was the lvl of the players u played against?? maybe u right for the "not being warmed up" part cause to me all my first games alway teh "warm up" games. I don'y really let all my heart into them.
wut do u mean by my position? uhh mah frend is i guess a lil better den me and our oppent was a lil high den us.
it could be that you were not warmed up but it could also be that in the 1st game you were trying to smash shots where a smash was not the best option or just trying to play shots that would have not been the best choice. As for the 2nd game they could have been just setting you up to smash...
Could involve a lot of factors, such as: 1. warm up 2. mental stress 3. weaker opponent 4. opponents using less effective strategy (i.e. too many lift) etc
Factors Well, I'm guessing that since you were playing with your little 7 year old brother, it was easier for you to smash because he sets you up. Or you don't think much of his playing skill so you have the confidence to beat him down. And the opposite for your buddy.
when they mean position as in are you behind the bird? are you in a good position when you are about to strike the bird? if you are in a unorthidox position, its obvious that you will smash differently and most likely not very hard. the other possiblilities about mental and warm up could be true, and i wouldnt be surprised if it was.
i think some of u all got confused. i played two diferent games. one with my frend and another one with mah lil bro. i didnt play against him
well you can see then.....if the players are different, they may also have different styles. they may also be at a higher level.
no offence but obviously your 7 yr old bro cant clear to basline and the bird should land near front to halfcourt, therefore its easier to smash. since your friend and opponent prolly can clear deeper, it should be harder to smash from backcourt since the angle is less steep and slows tremoundasly down when it reaches your opponents.
Yep, alot of people got confused. He didn't play against his 7 year old brother, he played with him. I would say that the reason why you were smashing better in the second game is because: as the stronger of the 2 players between you and your brother, you are hitting more shots then him - this gets the muscles moving. You also have to play better to compensate for your brother, so therefore increasing your strength everytime you smash. And of course you are under less pressure from your brother... he's not going to moan that you ain't playing well or smash badly cause he's in no position to. It happens to me all the time, I smash far better and harder when my partner is a weaker player then me. I am mentally under stress and pressure that I am going to let my partner down if it is not a good smash if my oppenent is as good or better then me.
