Default My string starting to have lose filaments

I been using a BG 88TI string since november. lately I saw that my string is starting to have lose filaments sticking out in its sweet spot. Does this mean my string will break soon?

As a followup question to this thread, does anyone know where to buy BG 88TI in the Philippines?

It depends on how often and how strong ur stroke is. If ur string just starts to fray after 3-4 months of usage, then I guess it still can serve u for a little while.

If your strings frays.. i would suggest you to cut them and restring your racket.

Yeah, I have BG85 and I start to see fraying as soon as the tension's low enough for the mains to slide. I just play it until it breaks unless I have a tourney coming up.

It stated to happen after I lend my racquet to a power smasher for a short while. BG88TI is hard to find, I bought mine bbssports in china and im not going there in the near future.

My strings are fraying, but only the mains are noticeably doing so. Is this the case normally? Is it becuase the mains are sliding more than the cross? What are your experiences?

    String is BG85

Strings fray because they move about and rub against each other. Iso racquets have more problem than oval ones because of the longer strings. You can reduce fraying by increasing tension.
