i recently bought a 4u Mp 88 (checked serial number thread and they said it was real) .... friend has the same racket (both mine and her's are blue version) but hers is 3u. Why does her racquet feel significantly lighter than mine  ?

We both have yonex overgrip...hers is super grap and mine came with the racquet (seems thicker than her grip) ....not too sure about the string, mine is BG 68Ti @ 20 pounds.

If its just the grip difference, it probably wouldnt affect it that much....yet i am frustrated about the weight of my racquet being heavier than hers when it is supposed to be lighter...:(

    Help Please!! Thanks!

Probably because it is easier to feel the head heaviness when the racquet is lighter.

Also, I seem to recall that 4U and 3U are not actual weight but a range of weights, which means that the lightest 3Us are not far off from the heaviest 4Us. That might be the case here.

Don't use overgrip but just replace the original grip with a thicker replacement grip said Karakal PU Duo color grip. Thicker replacement grip might help to change your "Head Heavy Feel"

Overgrip won't affect the balance of the racket much. It will affect the static balance, but that's not relevant.
