Before I get flamed by Smashingbird or other conscientious BF'ers on yet another thread on the ClearOne tournament, I thought it is important to remind the local BFer's that the upcoming ClearOne Thanksgiving Junior B tournament ALSO has an OPEN age category. (it was originally U23 but changed to OPEN).

I mentioned this to a couple other players and they did not even consider this tournament since the title led them to think it was purely for Juniors. So Break-my-strings, you don't need that wig and geek glasses to try to pass yourself off as a 13 yr old... girl.... brrr...

SO - for all of you interested in playing in a B level tournament - the first of the season, see how your training has been over the summer, join this tournament. Work up an appetite for that turkey dinner!

The deadline is September 31, so you have a week to get a form and sign up, or grab/drug/otherwise coerce a partner into joining with you!

Entry Deadline actually Sep 28, Next Wednesday

Please check bottom of entry form to confirm!

BTW, it will cost you extra $2.00 when you pay at tournament draw desk.
So, mail in your form or drop off at C1 ASAP!!

You can still enjoy your Turkey on Monday unless all you M&F baddies get together and have more than 32 entries for Mixed Doubles!!!:D:D:D

Come to think of it, i don't ever recall seeing you without a cap on. Are you sure you have hair? Or - do you even have a top of the the skull to protect the brain? What are you hiding with that cap? Maybe a tattoo on your dome of some fantasy lover? Hmmmmmm...... ;)

I have been trying to hide this imperfection from all my badminton friends, but it looks like badrad has discovered my little secret!

It happened during my high school years when I represented the Jr. Boys singles badminton. The coach got me to do singles drills with one of the Sr. Boys DBL-A team because no one else in the Juniors was challenging enough.

I was practising smash returns when his racquet shaft broke at the handle, the head and 3.7x shaft...

:)confused: popquiz : who was the manufacturer, model, and the uniqueness of the racquet  )

...flew across the net and was imbedded in my skull.

They were able to detach the head of the racquet but the shaft had to be left remaining because it was deeply imbedded in my corpus callosum. The surgeons didn't want to take any chances of severing the left & right hemispheres.

You can still see a bit of the shaft protruding from my skull when I take my cap off. I guess that's why I wear a cap and is such a badminton fanatic! :p :D

    Cheers!
