BADMINTON… Scotland has announced that it will not be competing in the team event at next year’s Commonwealth Games. Having won the bronze in 2002, the Scots have seen their squad weakened after injuries to Kirsteen McEwan and Yuan Wemyss. Please read this for some views from the players, coaches and people involved in the sport in Scotland and I think you will find it a tough decision to understand especially since the game has been on the increase in the last two years with some of the younger players bringing in some good results and even Callum Menzies bringing a bronze medal home from the European juniors.
