    Hi all,

CAN yonex carbonex 8 can take 23lbs?
Anyone strung it at this tension or above?
I am not sure whether it can take this tension and whether
    it will deform with play.

    Thanks a lot

    I strung my friend's 8 with BG-85 @ 28/30 on a crank machine. No problem.

i'd brought my old-fashioned cab 8 to a stringer and asked for a 22lbs with bg80 on it. he said that's too for such kinda racket. it's better be 20lbs or below.

It is the original cab8(old fashioned one) , written B-8500 on it.

I never string the Cab 8 original by myself, but I strung cab 8 dx, cab 9 and cab 15 (old version).

I am using two points stringing machine. Three rackets can support 25 x 28lbs, but cab 8 dx and cab 9 cannot have good shape, but cab 15 can get a good shape.

For the playability, Cab 9 is the best one with power and control.

Yep. I strung an original Cab 8 at 26/28 no problem. Strung an original Cab 9 at 29 lbs., no problem either!

Agree, if you can lift that beast. I call the Cab 9, "Thor's Hammer" (Mjolnir). And I call the Blacken "Thor's Daddy". They are so heavy, especially for doubles. :p

    cab8

CAB8 is two-piece racket with an aluminium frame if i am not wrong, hmm quite amazing that it can be strung so high as some mentioned.

My cab9 gold was distorted when i hit the floor once, meaning it is no longer a symetrical oval shape, but distorted to one side. cab9 is a real "thor" hammer, cab8 feels much lighter :)

I strung my Cab-8 (brought in 1991) with BG65 at 23 lbs. No deformation at all.
