Hi all the baddy fanatics in this forum..... this may sound real silly  .... but as u know shuttles finish at a real fast rate  ......so wat u guys do with all the empty tubes???? throwing away seems to be the norm and also logical choice of many, but maybe some of us here will have something useful or creative about the uses of those empty tubes. :p for me, i did cut a few into shorter tubes (covenience sake inside bag) to carry those used shuttles for warming-ups n new ones that are leftovers for sessions whereby don't need so many birdies... :D

Darn it. You beat me to it. :)

Yes, I have been severely frowned upon by opposing coaches and parents of opposing players for using empty tubes for clapper sticks.

I can't help it, it's badminton! Want peace and quiet? Go watch tennis. :D

If they are not reused, can empty tubes be recycled?? Let's make this world a greener place! :D

I give them to the janitor at our badminton club. He lives in a shanty town here in Manila and apparently he cuts them in half lengthwise and uses them to reinforce his roof.

Hahaha.....thks for all the creative posts from everyone esp converting it to thunder sticks or clapper sticks, sure create one hell of a atmosphere!!! :D However from bluejeff post, this reminds me that i once got a playful knock on the head by my gf using the empty shuttle tube as i just came back from game n was too concentrating on clearing all the stuffs from my baddy bag n checking the rackets for any signs of damages, it sure was a super strong n deadly weapon as said by bluejeff!!!!!
