    Hello Everyone,

    I am a tall player, about 6' 2"
I have a really hard smash, and good at net shots. I have LOTS of wrist power. I am not looking for a really head heavy racket, but someting with a lot of power and control.

Looking to buy a new racket. What kind of racket should i be looking for?
    Any suggestions
    I already have:
    Yonex Iso 75 MF LT
    Fake Yonex Mp-100
    Victor Columbia VII

sounds like you are a god :p

for head heavy seems like there are just few choices around:
    mp100(real :p)
    at700
    at800of/de
    ti-10

most people like ti-10 in this forum too, i think
and at700 is the most head heavy racket around(look for cooler's data)
at800de is liked equally to mp99 with a tip of head heavy balance
at800of is most unheard of in bf

i think he said not too head heavy.
but if you're that powerfull i guess you should have a feel for "all" the extra-stiff rackets form yonex..

If you prefer oval racket, take a look at cab30ms. :)

lol, right, i am so blind :D

    mp99, 88, 77, at800de are even to head heavy

    ns8k is head light/even balance

as for lower models, mp28C is ok as well

cabs are always favored by many of the bfers around

Get an 4U AT800-OFF or DE (for more control). :D

I'd recommend a 3u AT 800 DE for strong smashes, control and nice defence.

Where are you from in Newfoundland? I played in the St. John's club for a few years. Your name doesn't ring a bell, though.

I second that, CAB-30MS, powerful, slightly head heavy (classified as even balance), and 30-40% cheaper than other racquets of its class. Stiff, and oval head too.

AT-700 and Ti-10 are stiff racquets. Both quite head heavy. Very strong, but hard to use if your technique or wrist power isn't good. Small sweetspots, but two of the strongest racquets made by Yonex so far. A little pricey (220-290 CAN dollars), but worth it for a badminton regular, looking for a serious game.

I was looking for a "Balanced" racket. That's the word.

I am trying to decide between MP-99, AT800 DE, and NS7000.

    Which is better.....?

NS7000. You can't go wrong with any of the other rackets but the NS7000 is the most balanced of the 3. It's first-rate for defending, net play, driving and an extremely mobile racket. I feel the only shortcoming is the smashing power (relative to the other two mentioned rackets).

i don't think there are much difference between mp99/at800de/ns7k

they places each other on the scale nicely too

    ns7k mp99 at800de
    <-------------------------------------------->
    headlight evenbalance headheavy

    its your choice

I think you should stick to one of those 3. There are tons of info on all of those rackets and they are quite recommended by the BF'ers (perhaps not the NS 7k as much). However, unless you LOOOVEEEE the NS 7k, stick with either the AT 800 DE or MP 99. Those rackets have been around for a while and their quality is 100% assured whereas the NS 7k hasn't even been out for a year.

Agree wholeheartedly, the AT and MP are proven, while there's still a bit of uncertainy with the NS series.
