within the past 10 days, Janet and i together broke 4 strings.

    i broke 2 bg85 on 2 cab20. 1 bg85 on a cab21. janet broke 1 bg88ti on a Iso900SS.

strange part is, i rotate between half a dozen or so rackets so i haven't broken a string for months.

    coincidence?

I personally think the keyword there is "rotate." Since you rotate between your racquets, the strings wear roughly at the same rate, so when they do break they tend to break at roughly the same time. If you use one racquet 'til it breaks, then switch to another one and use it 'til it breaks, etc., then they won't break at the same time. Assuming there's absolutely nothing to cause string wear on the spare racquets, of course.

    :D ;)

maybe it's because of dryness? (oh wait, CA isn't dry)

    or purely bad luck?

    PS:
I just broke the string of my Cab20 within 3 hours of usage last Sunday. The string was an ultra thin, factory pre-stretched, Pacific power star 3, 0.65mm testing string. Guess what I would say on my string review.... :p

0.65mm?!?! I didn't know they made string that thin. For me, that would break in 10 minutes or immediately with one good mishit. :p
