As I expected, they will straight away be sent to the SEA Games at Manila end of next month, which means no more overseas tournaments for the rest of the year. The bad news is....their rankings will plummet to where they originally were....the 60-70s. This is disappointing because if the draw is unfavorable to them, they will forever lose in the first round of every tournament. That is of course assuming they can make the main draw. No matter how hardworking they are in the training session, its not going to change the fact that ranking points and competing in tournaments are necessary. It was mentioned that their performance at the Indonesia Open were not satisfactory. Well, I personally thought the bad draw was one factor! They were even lucky to get one player in the quarter-final. Next year, they will only be involved in the German and Swiss Open (early January) but not the All-England and they have to do it the hard way....through qualifying to the main draw.
Maybe PBSI will think of them before they will be send to Swiss opr German Open..and also All England.. If they can't pass Sea Games (which is the competitor just come from Malay, Thailand, and Singapore) they will not send to the higher stars level.. I heard PBSI will send them to Taiwan and Hongkong Open..which the level is more lower..hope they can earn more points from that tournament..
so bad PBSI.....just same with BAM... they also seldom send women to the tournaments.....but now alrdy changed a bit....
It is almost certain that they WILL NOT be sent to the Hong Kong Open (which is a 6* tournament) and the Chinese Taipei Open (because it is too close to the Manila games).
China Open!! Good News!!! Indonesia will send full team to China Open.. But not in Hongkong Open, although the name of Indonesian player has been write on the list..because it's too close to Manila (SG).. Or maybe PBSI send different player?..
