i juz got a bad blister. juz wanna ask wat do i have to do to play with the blister? tape it up? and wats the risk of playing with a blister?
I was always told that a good badminton player that knows how to play never gets blister. Playing with a blister might get it bigger than it should be. Take S4d's advice and let it seal up before playing again.
thats not possible... theres always friction involved in everything, thats like saying a car wont overheating when driven to the limit for a long time.. anyhoo i've gotten plenty of blisters before, back when i played like crazy my skin was tougher since i played so much more often, you just need to play tons and your skin should toughen up. also this might be a stupid question but how do you "tape up youre blisters" ...what kind of tape? what i did was put a couple layers of bandages on, but they fall off and wear out quickly... anyone wanna tell me how to tape up blisters?
Blisters are the norm... there's no way one can avoid them. However, the more relaxed one holds the racquet the less blisters will appear. This coincide with good time and proper grip. Also, one has to change the grip regularly as sometimes more well-worn grip will aggravate old blisters.
actually you can avoid them by putting about 3 or more layers of bandage on the area . feels kinda wierd but better then feeling pain and not being able to play.
The only other way is if you have dry feet. And if you have dry feet, you probably aren't running enough And if you aren't running, you won't have enough adrenaline to not feel any pain But really, you should consider how bad the blister is. If it's just loose skin it's probably OK but will probably fall off if you play again without having rested a few days. If it's bleeding or worse, you should definitely rest. And while you're resting perhaps you should look at your footwork? What I tend to find is that after the first blister, the skin will harden and won't become an issue for a while. Don't worry though - it'll grow soft again, ready for the next blister...
Best thing to do is use the search function and type in 'blister'. A lot of good information will be found.
