Hello, I would was wondering, if you play with a fast bird and you would like it to be a little slower, i was wondering how can you slow it down.....i usually see players in my club snapping a bit of feathers at the end of each tip....does that actually make the bird slower? are there any other ways of slowing it down ?
Hello I think it's called tipping - you bend the end of the feather outwards slightly to slow it down, and inwards to speed it up. Every fourth feather seems to be standard, unless it's really fast, when it will be every second feather. Hope that makes sense!
This method is very effective, i used to do it when i played for my team back in high school. Coz we played in an air conditioned hall, shuttles had a tendency to fly very fast, and the quality of the shuttles sucked. haha Well now, we don't have that problem anymore, the humidity settles the speed for us.
slowering it down.. by.. flattening it.. like.. squish the birdie flat to the ground.. hahahhahahaha. jk. .
