Hello, my name is Richard, I'm from Long Island, NY and have been playing badminton for about nine years. I grew up playing in Miller place and was on the Varsity team for five years. Presently I'm trying to find a badminton club somewhere near either my job or my new home elsewhere on Long Island. I discovered this forum while searching for local clubs and pretty much immediately decided I had to join. Sooo...yeah... I guess I'll shut up before I start rambling too much.

Greetings and Welcome, LI_Baka!
... We have a few members here on BadmintonForum that are in your area. I'll wait for their recommendations as they're all very helpful. Welcome again!

If you only prefer to be in Long Island or East Queens area, here's the ones I know of:
1. Miller Place: However, the new schedule might not be favorable for full time working ppl, unless u live really close by
2. Stony Brook: Check their club site for schedule
3. Garden City: 2 sessions on Tues and Thurs. I think Thurs is already over populated. Not sure about Tues. If both are full, maybe you can put your name on the waiting list and join up if any spot being open.
4. Friendly club (Jamaica HS site): check www.friendlybadminton.com for more detail.
Welcome on board!
