I want to replace my old strings on my Yonex Carbonex 15 & 20. I must have them for more than 8 years now and they have not broken yet. I want to use the Carbonex 20 for feather shuttlecocks play and Carbonex 15 for nylon birdies. Please suggest:

    1. What are the best strings for each racquet, and
    2. what maximal tension should I use for each? I heard 20lb is the max, is it true?

    Thanks,

    Keevin :)

    For nylon, go with BG-65
    For feather, go with BG-80

I've strung a Cab20 up to 25/28lbs. with no problems but I do not recommend that. Just saying I've done it. :D

Everyone knows the optimal tension is between 18-32lbs. ;)

Seriously, it depends on the person. I started playing at 28-29lbs. and am used to it so that's what I would string it at: 24/27 or 25/28 but again, that's me.

What do you normally play at? Try that. If you don't know, I'd say find a stringing expert to feel your tension and he/she can approximate.
