After watching that video link, i just couldn't imagine why they're planning to split and stop playing professional badminton? Maybe a lack of motivation??

Both are only 24 yrs young, essentially at the peak or if not approaching their baddy career. And with much of the CHN's veteran pairs retiring, this current JPN duo should continue to remain near the top. Unless both are getting married or starting a family or planning to be a politician, i think they should continue playing professionally. For Ms. Shiota, forget abt working as a commentator for Japanese media. Your talent is out there on the court and wielding those rackets. Same thing with Ms. Ogura. At least give us, your loyal baddy fans, 4 more yrs til the next Olympics....
