Its very common where people break racket frames due to clashes with your partner or the floor. Maybe due to stringing at high tensions or maybe just sheer wear and tear. I have had 2 outrageous breaks; 1) Fleet Ti-99, the shaft snapped in 2. Too bad i don't have any photos, a result of a mere swing and contact with my leg. Don't ask how that happened! haha 2) MP55, Shaft explosion. I will try to post some photos here...
racket breaks S4MadMan, I feel sorry for you, what happened is most horrible, especially the Nanospeed. I heard the Nanospeeds are fragile, but this is ridiculous. At least with the MP99, you might get compensation from the postal service company.

Yes, I'm still "battling" the USPS for a refund, it's been over 3 months. To answer you question how can a mishit break my racket? I don't know, it just did. I've actually broken two (2) NS7000s from mishits in the same place. This was back in the day where I played badminton all over, including some gyms where the lighting was not good so mishits were common, unfortunately. Go figure.
I didnt have any clashes. It just happened when i was smashing it down. Maybe someone sabotage my racket hehehe.

Didn't happen to me, though, but i've seen a guy break his racquet head while clearing from the back line by hitting another player's (who was just walking by the court) hand. The hand didn't suffer a lot, but the racquet was "ready"
I forgot this one, Wilson NCode N1, this is the 2nd time it broke at the 8 o'clock position from just hitting shuttles. I didn't notice it until I cleared a shuttle and it sounded a little weird; then I inspected the racket and found this:
i was at a junior provincial tournament and me and my doubles partner were playing a local team. they were both using NS 7K's. at about 9 - 4 (going to 21), my partner smashed it down the middle between them. they both went for it, took a hugeeee wind up, and absolutely destroyed each others racquets. felt really bad, but was also pretty funny
