I need help regarding which racket would be a better buy since i saw them in two different shops in singapore and their prices are just S20-S30 dollars difference. The tour is more expensive. Which racket is more evenly balanced, not head heavy and has better power and control. Durability issue could also be taken into consideration. Considering all these factors and the difference in price, which should i get?

Personally, I prefer Cab 20 Tour. I have heard many good things about this racket. I would like to buy one too if I still can find it.

On the other hand, I think Cab 20 Special is kind of cheap version of the original Cab 20. If I recall correctly some BCers said that Cab 20 Special feels lighter.

May I know how much does Cab 20 Tour cost? And where do you see it?

Its a CAB 20 Tour SP, greenish in colour, stung with goosen ??? (neon yellow coloured), 2U4G, cone is coded HK. An old stock, not on display.

I was actually asking the salesman for an old CAB20, he told me all are on the display rack, some old CAB 8,10,15 and a rather new "CAB 20 Ti Power". I end up buying the "CAB 20 Ti Power". Just before I make my payment, the salesman while looking for the bag in the cardboard found this. I'm not sure if they have anymore in stock. I can check for you on Monday if you are interested.

While I don't believed that sportlink sell fake, the HK code on the cone smell fishy. I'll wait for other members to help verify the serial no. for me before recommending the retailer.

Update: The authenticity of the racket have been verify by a leehsim on the other thread http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23268&page=7&pp=18

The branch is at whitesand shopping center (Pasir Ris MRT).

there are so many cab 20s! what are the differences between them and is the performance and quality of each of the racquets vastly different? i've tried to search the forum but there is a character limit to what i can search for.

This is the list of version I found online

    Carbonex 20
    Carbonex 20 Tour
    Carbonex 20 Muscle
    Carbonex 20 Special
    Carbonex 20 Titanium Power
    Carbonex 20 Long
    Carbonex 20 Power
    Carbonex 20 Tour Special

Then there are some with SP and some w/o SP.

Here's the link to the review section
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/reviews/showcat.php/cat/47

I just a novice player, and do not really bother about individual character of the rackets. Its just my childhood dream to own one:D And I'm happy to find one 15 years later.

I've emailed yonex to see if they can tell us the different.
Will follow up this thread if when they reply.

    <off topic>
For curiosity sake, I buy the cab20 for sentimental reason.
In todays technology, why are you(and the rest of you) looking for yesterday's racket.
I'm sure you can find better rackets for the same price.

I must thank you for your efforts, nuvole. Although I did not get the reply I expected, you have gone to great lengths to share information about what you know and obtain new ones about what you don't.

I must say I am really unfortunate in my quest for seeking more information in this product. Each time new information is available, it is either incomplete or in a form I do not completely comprehend. I have a terrible command of chinese, not to say in the traditional form!

Bluejeff, could we have that link where you wrote all the comparisons in English? Also, could you add the new cab20 and 21 to the reviews in the same format? They were very helpful, much appreciated!

Sorry for the late reply, I've been at sea the last 2 months.

I'm just an armature player and have no capabilities to rate any rackets.

If you are interested, the spotlink branch still have one of each cab 20 tour, cab 20 Muscle, cab 20 Titanium Power.

I suggest you have a feel of all of them before buying one. Price wise, the 20 tour is the cheapest among them.

BTW I played with the cab 20 tour for 1/2 an hour and found that I prefer my good old BX802 :p
