Phew...just came back from the Queen Elizabeth Stadium after watching both sessions today. I was lucky to be able to catch the last MTR train back to my place...otherwise, I will need to take a taxi. Here's the semi-final lineup with the predicted winners in bold as usual.

    MEN'S SINGLES

Lin Dan vs Lee Chong Wei (Lin will be super tired after his titanic battle with Peter Gade this afternoon, which lasted more than 1.5 hr -- so, I pick LCW to win)

Bao Chunlai vs Shon Sheung Mo (both players are involved in rubber-games and chances for both players are 50-50)

    WOMEN'S SINGLES

    Zhang Ning vs Pi Hongyan

Wang Chen vs Xie Xingfang (the whole stadium will be behind the local favorites and their last meeting last mth ended in a win for Wang)

    MEN'S DOUBLES

Anthony Clark/Robert Blair vs Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun

Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard Hansen vs Xie Zhongbo/Guo Zhendong

    WOMEN'S DOUBLES

Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen vs Lee Kyung Won/Lee Hyo Jung

Jo Novita/Greysia Polii vs Gao Ling/Huang Sui

    MIXED DOUBLES

Nathan Robertson/Gail Emms vs Zhang Jun/Gao Ling (the British pair won most of their latest encounters with their Chinese rival)

Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen vs Lee Jae Jin/Lee Hyo Jung

The semi's turned out to be China vs. World. Every game features a Chinese player/pair and one from other countries. This is probably the only time in Grand Prix history.:D

    wow, Chinese are everywhere!

Look at all the semis, there are at least one party is Chinese, which means more than half of the total semifinalists are Chinese, which also indicates that all tomorrow's five finals could be within all Chinese players. What a phenomenon

Not to mention the Woman SF. There are 4 Chinese women in the semi although only 2 are representing China :)

Wow! Who would have thought that in any 6-star tournament, the only Indonesian team to make the semi-finals would be a women's doubles pair? Hang in there Novita/Polii!

By the way, where did you get these results? The "tournament website" still hasn't updated the QF results for the bottom half of any but Men's Doubles! And the semis start in 5 hours. Pathetic. Ah, I see them now. They put them under "match Schedule" but couldn't be bothered to update the draw sheets.

lcw beat ld in 05 MO in 3 mainly because crowd support.
ld had a tough match with pg and bombs out like in 05 WC.
i would give lcw over ld in 51/49 odd :D
