Lin Dan and Bao Chun Lai have very different preferences.

    Bao's coming up first.

The grip is of more importance than the country code.

Anybody else on BF forum also use wood?

I do use towel on wood.. but not wood itself. I wonder what kind of benefit Lin Dan gets for making his grip like that.

The tension is too high for BCL, espeically with BG80 (Yonex suggests -1lb in comparinson to BG65). No wonder BCL has so accurate placements of shots but not much power in his smashes..

Maybe LD is superstitious and that's why he doesn't change the grip. :p

Are you an expert on string tension? How do you know the tension is too high for BCL? If 32lbs. is what he prefers, then that's what's best for him.

What's best for you or what you feel is best may not be for everyone else. Do you agree? :)

It does have more natural and better feel than placing grips on the original grip. :)

Sorry, not this time. The stringers thought I was already rather crazy taking photos of the racquets!! I just tried to pick the most interesting players' racquets that were there.

These photos were taken on s/final day. Many of the players had already left.

hahaha, I dun think so :p
I have a feeling he is doing this to mark the grip.. for example if he wants to smash.. he will make sure he hold on to the part with towel grip.. and when he wants to play a net shot it will remind him to reach for the wooden part (which is closer to the cone)... dont u think so? :p

There was a picture of Xia a while back on this forum. The shaft of his at700 clearly had "CH" written on it.
