I'm the coordinator for the Racketsports Montreal teams, we're entering a Division 1 team, a Division 4, and a Division 5 team. Anyone else here playing in on a team in the LBA?
Welcome RSM to the LBA. This season I'll be playing in the YMCA Division 1 team. Who are the people in your Division 1?
woah! Hi there! So many ppl in LBA now ... I am playing in Div 2 also ... Who are u guys?? Which club are u guys in? I am in YMCA west-island.
I'm just trying to revive a 'dead thread' which could potentially be pretty cool if we get everyone to post their LBA 'war stories' up here... maybe it'd be a good opportunity to get more people on BC as well? RsM's first home game was for our Division 4 team this weekend. Visiting team was West Island Club's div 4. Sad to say we lost, but it was great fun and you could really see that everyone was giving it their all. One of the visiting team's players was an emergency substitute-- he had no equipment with him. He had to play with a borrowed pair of shorts (that had been used for a few hours already I think... yes, EUW), a shirt borrowed from a girl (!!!), my spare racket, and worse still, he had to play in dress socks and shoes! Apparntly his feet were bleeding afterwards-- sounds extreme, but just goes to show how far people will go to not let their teams down. On RsM's end I saw someone pull what I am henceforth dubbing "A Superman". A player was caught off guard and had to dive for the bird-- but he didn't just dive, he flew-- his body was parallel to the ground and it was entirely like 4 feet above the ground. Woosh. (Note to children, belly flops are bad for your internal organs) Just goes to show that a little competition brings out the tigers in everyone-- it,s good to know group like LBA accomplishes this without having to charge exhorbitant fees like some other sports leagues that I know of in montreal.
