Very interesting, I was watching XXZ vs. Chen Jin and noticed the major sponsor is Wilson not Yonex. Anyone else notice that/comments why?

I just find it odd Yonex got beat out (some to speak).

    yes. good observation.

in fact, the largest sponsor is the title sponsor, PICC.

also there are other advertisers, Victor, SOTX also have representation.

which i think is a good thing.

Yonex has exclusive sponsorship rights in all IBF owned events like the WC, TC, UC, SC, etc. other GP tournaments are allowed to have any sponsors. this is a good thing as that means more exposure for other brands. it is also smart for brands like Wilson to jump into the CO, as it is a 6* tournament, and held in a very hot Chinese badminton market.

I second that, badminton does needs more than Yonex to become popular.
