The tension dies off and if the string is fraying, it probably signals the end of that string's life. Restringing would be ideal instead of preventing the fraying.
Local stringer here uses soem candle wax on string before stringing....says it helps with extra thin strings. Maybe it helps, maybe it doesnt, but Im not to compain. All the wax falls off after a couple of hits though....so you decide. Personally, Id jsut cut the dam strings and restring.
okay thanks, yeah theres a tournament next weekend, and i just noticed the middle string freying , it will probably blow tonight, im gonna try my best to break it atleast during a tough game on an important shot, knowing i will be without the racquet for half a week cuz i dont have a string machine -_-, but i am getting one to prevent the devastation of so many string breakages, quite the irritant without a machine of my own... but anyways, thanks for the good word, im gonna try glue instead of wax, i only see wax blowing away from my smash^^;maybe ill post the results after tonight XD
if you have a tournament next weekend, you might want to cut the strings now and restring as soon as possible. this will give you a day or two for the strings to settle in before you use it.
