Ya, I dropped him off at the bus stop yesterday :D :D :D

On a serious note, I assume you mean the brand Victor. Yes, it's pretty well known. What do you want to know about it (rackets, shuttlecocks, shoes, clothing)?

Do you mean in terms of clothing? They were a sponsor of the recent China Open. Did you notice their logo on the courts, nets and surroundings? I think I saw some athletes wearing their duds, too. Chinese? That doesn't sound right. Maybe the Hong Kong team. I don't remember. Anyway, they are developing a bit of a presence around here. They have some okay clothes on their Korean site. Very different from what is on their home site in Taiwan.

Their European site looks almost like a completely different company and their Canadian site looks like it has the Taiwanese stuff but there is no clothing that I can see.

Wasn't it Wilson who were the major sponsor?

Now that I look again at the courts, it is apparent that Wilson was definitely the major sponsor. However, I saw the Victor logo a lot, too, as the attached photos attest, so I guess we could say that it was a major sponsor.

I'm soon going to buy my first pair of Victor shorts and a shirt, too. They have a fluorescent green/yellow one here that is blinding.

    Victor Apparel

What I like about the Victor shirts is that the come in XXXl size. I'm a big guy and the Yonex stuff don't fit me at all. As for the material, they're pretty much like the dri-fit type of fabric. We have it Red/ Black and Yellow/Gray. I checked the home page and they seem to market it as tennis apparel, but here in the Philippines they're marketed for badminton. I think they use the Hi-cool fabric.

I just got these from an online shop here and am liking them just fine.

Brown's in Toronto seems to have a ridiculously low price on the Victor Super Nano (their Victor prices generally seem low). The trick is, though, that they have 3 different Super Nano models whereas bbesports and all the Korean sites have only one as do the few other North American sites that carry Victor.

The Taiwan site has been down ever since this thread started up so I can't check there. Anyone here ever tried a Super Nano?

I seem to remember seeing something about that on a Canadian site. I thought it was a mistake because it looked like some Canadian guy named Victor something. I thought he just owned a badminton shop in BC or something.

Yes, is this it by any chance. Did that guy in BC really found the company which now seems to be split between Taiwan and Germany branches?

Correction. Much of the Chinese Victor site seems to be available through a backdoor but accessing the homepage doesn't work and nothing comes up in English.

By the way, does anyone know who this team is? It looks the same as the people in the photos Yannie put up with pre-China Open pics. It looks like a Victor team but they're all carrying Yonex bags in Yannie's pics and it doesn't look like they're pros. I wondered if they were from one of the IBF training centres.

    Deals on Super Nano

I bought my Victor Super Nano from mattshop in Taiwan. A friend took it from Taiwan so it cost < US$90 (stringing w. BG65 is $3.3 extra). If you ask them to ship to North America, freight will be $12~$18. But the site is in Chinese, so you may have trouble ordering.

Local shops in SF bay area are just expensive when it comes to rackets. But it's nice to drop-in for string jobs.
