Hi I play badminton 7 days a week, club, school, torniments. My wrist is getting sore, do any of you guys know how to reduce the soreness. Any replys would be great, thanks
holy crap...... 7 days a week! i think u should take a break.... i play 3 times a week i can never play 2 days in a row because i usually need that 1 day to rest muscles. I'd say use tensor bandages or use wrist brace.... i forgot wat u call it.. that gel water based thing for joint/muscle pain relieve after sports... u rub it on whereever its sore and it feels like ice.
Even the pros have one day a week where they do not play. You might feel rested the next day, but different parts of your body needs different resting times. If your wrist hurts try making it a habit to strech all the small muscles around it. Maybe get a massage once in a while (on the arm and wrist).
Thanks for your guys help I live in a town so i couldn't get those gel things, but would ice work? Its hard to rest playing badminton.. its that addictive
Yea.. also I found out what the thing is called it's called RUB A-535 .... I think ice would also work though
i know what you mean. for the past few months, I've been playing 7 days a week, some days playing twice. but no wrist soreness. the only time i had some wrist fatigue (not soreness) was when i started using a new racquet (which i promptly resold). the racquet was a techno 1700 which was unbelievalbe heavy (i weighed it incl strings at 110g).
too much of a good thing can be bad for you... don't play so much... alternatively, think about the way you hold your racquet, chaging grips, etc
how do you guys hold your grips. i hear people hold them with there fingers, or other words not contacting your palm with the grip. how is that possible any replys would be great thanks
